A patented construction method which consists in lightweight slabs without beams, their lightweight is due to the use of cardboard coffers.
By reducing a 30% the concrete consumption and a 20 % the steel consumption, the system generates great savings.
As well, it asures the needed plasticity to absorb static and dynamic loads such as seismic and wind loads, by the colaboration of the facade walls, slabs and the building core. It can be combined with the post-tensile technique.
It has been proved by being tested in situ, by deformation tests, that the system provides a greater resistance towards bending and deformation in comparison to solid slabs. This is due to the reduction in the slab weight.
Thickness:
From 30 cm onwards
Allows spans up to 30 m.
Uses:
. Mezzanine slabs
. Roof Slabs
. Slab on grade:
(casted over: expansive clay soils , piles + coffers
+ PRENOVA slab with spheres).

. Less weight of the construction
. Less columns
. Elimination of subfloors and ceilings.
. Sanitary and electrical installation encased in concrete as well
as heating.
. Due to the absence of beams, it allows easy access for the
installation of pipes and ducts.
. Allows to build more floors per building.
. Spans large areas without beams and allows ample cantilevering
. Being a fast system reduces in half the construction time.
. Flexible use.
. Better seismic resistance
. Good thermal insulation
. Reduces construction costs in between 10 and 15 % depending
the case
. Slab Surface Treatment: Polished concrete floor, savings in floor
installation. Ceilings are not necessary due to the surface
treatment of the slab. Once the construction process is finished
the reinforcement in the top of the PRENOVA slabs avoids the
apparition of fissures, therefore it can be polished in order to have
a granite surface.
SUSTAINABILITY:
. 30 % lower concrete consumption.
. 20 % lower steel consumption.
. A PRENOVA building weights 70 % of a traditional building,
and therefore improves it´s seismic resistance.
. Reduces CO2 emissions.
Every 10 000 m built, 1000 m³ concrete are saved, which means
that 220 tons of CO2 emissions are reduced from our atmosphere.
